Here is the line up of films that made up the first Do More Movement Film Festival in 2023

Kachalka - Directed by Gar o’rouke, 2020

Kachalka takes you into the heart of what is widely considered 'the world's most hardcore gym', Kyiv's enormous open-air Kachalka gym. Join the gym's caretaker as he takes us through the enormous scrap-metal site, allowing us a glimpse into the unique community and ingenuity from which it was created.

Goldfish - Directed by Charlotte Edmonds, 2022

Goldfish is a physical representation of sensory overload. It plunges into the mind of someone going through the motions and gasping to escape overconsumption within an ordinary space. The work externalises our subject's emotional response to everyday triggers. As the noise around her builds the dancer's facade falters and her internal struggles are revealed; the undulating curves and ripples, and electric currents running through the body forces us to see her in her rawest form.

The Runner - Directed by Amar Chebib, 2022

After suffering from suicidal depression, Darius Sam, a 20-year-old from Lower Nicola First Nation, finds running as a catalyst for transformation. Within a matter of months, he attempts a 100-mile ultramarathon in subzero temperatures to raise awareness for addiction and mental health in his community.

Flow - THe Story - Directed by Maxime moulin, 2021

FLOW, an aerial and symphonic journey with skier Sam Favret, in the heart of the closed resort of Chamonix, during this very special winter of 2021. A dose of unreality, serenity and Sam's powerful skiing. But above all the pleasure of rediscovering a playground back to its wild state. On the night we’ll also be showing a making of documentary.

Broken - directed by simon perkins

The Girls of guanabara - directed by brett novak

After losing his leg to cancer as a young adult, Jon Wilson struggled with feeling broken. Challenging himself in the outdoors presented a possible remedy. Today, crutching up and skiing down mountains at night provides a distinct backdrop for Jon to explore, accept, and embrace the idea of "brokenness," allowing him to find a more sincere, vulnerable and honest connection with life.

Sunshine and smiles and a group of super talented longboarders dancing on their boards through the streets of Rio. Literally, what more could you want?

Chasing the sublime - directed by amanda bluglass

Wil Brown Physical Intelligence - Directed by Harvey Gibson

Why do we put ourselves in the path of discomfort and risk? What drives us to get too cold and too tired, to battle with fear, in the name of adventure? A mesmeric glimpse of the physicality of cold water swimming in the pursuit of the sublime.

“Physical Intelligence. A concept I decided to use whilst philosophising about my practice and teaching. I see it as an orientation. Somewhere in which I will never reach, but can seek to work on each and every day.”

Cenote - directed by Reed rickert

A papaya farmer explores the magical cenotes of the Yucatán Peninsula and discovers sport climbing. His discovery causes him to make a life-changing decision to follow his new passion.
